Any individuals that are looking to serve their fellow human beings can volunteer through ViaDesh’s volunteer program. This program is most suited for individuals that like to travel, have a passion for learning, and are committed to serving. Volunteer placements can be as short as two weeks or as long as six months. Individuals who are on vacation, gap year, or traveling are encouraged to consider adding a volunteer placement to their itinerary. Our positions are not limited to foreigners, we have many opportunities for Indian citizens as well. Volunteering through ViaDesh will provide individuals with a great opportunity to experience personal growth while engaging in a culturally rich community.
ViaDesh is committed to helping individuals create a meaningful experience in the time period allowed. Our staff has worked for over seven years helping volunteers find placements in India. Placements can be in a variety of settings throughout India. With our connections to over 300 NGOs (Non-Governmental Organizations), we can find placements in various locations and fields. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. We provide all travel, orientations, food, accommodation, and support while in India. We also assist volunteers in pre-travel preparations. Fees vary depending on location and duration of volunteer opportunity.
